Why ties? Ties are a very personal thing for me. To me, they represent happy times. How many times have I watched my father, my brother, my husband, and now my son put on a tie before a special event?
I had no idea what to do with these personal items of my father's after he passed away. To me, I saw our lives tangled up in these simple pieces of fabric-and to throw them away seemed a crime to me. Leave it to my pups to make a game of it, and as I watched them playing tug-o-war with a hideous yellow polyester tie that I remember very well, it came to me. Turning these ties into collars for our fur-friends gives me great joy, and I hope they do for you as well. These tie collars are ready to go and one only of each size. I sew my collars because I enjoy making them for the houndies and it always makes me happy to see a pupper in new duds. My collars are triple stitched at the stress points, and I only use cast or welded hardware and industrial bonded nylon thread on my collars.
